Perhaps that's why bob is so happy with his GW, nice and steady.
Actually I'm not knocking the things, they are a cheap ute and very handy for those who could not afford a better ute, the overall vehicle may not be as good as the better ones but they go and for a work horse they are probably ok.
When I bought my latest 4x4, naturally I test drove the ute I bought, I asked the salesman about a 4x4 GW as they sell those as well, his answer was, if you can afford this one (Triton) you do not want to go anywhere near those GW uts but if you can not afford a new Triton then maybe the GW will do if you want a new one.

I recon ya right there popular here for company's that provide a vehicle for there staff plumbers ect to give you an idea how slow they are you could tow a gw with your tritoo and you could still overtake an unloaded gw on hills

Yea I can see why company's would buy multiple units, keep them 4 years and piss them off and go again, if they last 4 years that is. I guess what could bite company vehicles is what does the cost amount to in regards to keeping them going as compared to more popular vehicles.

Even though they're cheap to start with the idea of swapping them over every few years is a false economy. After 4 years you'd be lucky to get $5,000 for a Great Wall so basically a $20,000 grand drop in value and who the hell would trade an older one? A Hilux may be about $45,000 new but you'd still get $25,000-30,000 for it easily after 4 years depending on kilometers. And somebody would want it guaranteed.

tricky gum all wonky and with decay pockets all way up & shame it had to go as was great habitat tree but threatening to fail on to bungalo so I left it till now in hope no critters a nesting


some trees just dont want to let you know fall balance this was one of them i prolly could 'a dropped from ground but it bent back with a twist and with so much decay though I was anxious could fail at scaff but climbing past the hollows was no fun either
