The old FJ-40's... Great offroad vehicles.

One caution... they are very "front heavy" when jumping creeks... they will land front end down usually into the other bank of the creek... ripping out the upper shock mounts... also ends up with the driver needing 13 stitches in their chin while bouncing off the steering wheel... which will also end up bent like a large taco.

Don't ask me how I know...

Gary

13 stitches jumping a creek? HA! THAT'S NOTHING!! (My record is 17...) :D

Here's the rocking yarder and the first landing fire of the season. The new Chevy worked well in the mud and then this snow. For those of you not from here, our snow has the consistancy of concrete. Doesn't take much to cause problems.

Now I've got to go walk the dog and then hot tub with some painkiller. I not only got the first tumble of the day over with early, but have enough stored up for the rest of the week. A lovely morning ambling up and down an 80% slope marking road right of way. Lots of beautiful vine maple and ancient cedar blowdowns to skip through. A pickanick in the woods every day!:greenchainsaw:
