Very generous of you Cliff. Mark this may be the best, most cost effective way for you to go. You'd have everything you need and more right there. Let me know whether or not this works out. If it doesn't, I'll send you the lower handle brace and the flywheel cover that we talked about earlier.

I hate to do that to you since youve already done some leg work. but i think it makes sense to get it all in one big lump if i can. just have to repaint the parts...which i was gonna have to do anyway.

Cliff you got yourself a deal

Don't sweat it at all Mark. If you get what you need from Cliff then that saves me a little time boxing up those parts and sending them out. Doing that for three or four other guys already. I've gotta print out the PM's from the guys so I can remember what I need to pull and what box to put it in when I get to the shop...:dizzy:

If you do end up needing any of those parts later just let me know.

Gads, so much stuff but so far away........................................................................

Damn Canadians.

But all jokes aside, dont some older macs, and other brands have the pull cord on the right side?

Yep, but they don't look like those. Many older Macs have the recoil mechanism in the clutch cover or the gearbox. Same side as the bar. Photobucket isn't working for me right now. If it was, I'd post a few RH start Mac pics for you. I can't log onto photobucket (using either IE or Google Chrome), and my photobucket account stored signiture pic is now just a white box with a red X in it. WTH? Can you see the IHC "tractor man" logo to the right of the "Mac in the Box" McCulloch logo in my sig...................or do you just see the white box with the red X?

I wish it was a red x instead of what is there...

Here are some pics.
I have a fan cover but some of the ribs are broke out. It is painted black.
I took the piston and cylinder off this saw and put it on a C-5 I have.
The front tank cover is patch, I don't know if it leaks.

Nobody's perfect Jeff. You are an admitted Southern Comfort drinker afterall.:potstir:

Can you still see the logo then? Photobucket is all screwed up for me.

Yep, its there. Until last fall, and that one I still insist is a Case, about the last time I piloted one of them red things was about the time I was on the Comfort kick, about 15 years and two marriages ago. If (when) I decide to drink more, its not really at the top of the list, as I seem to have drifted even farther south in my tastes. Can you say blue agave?

SoCO, as Ron White would say "things that make ya go buuhhhh". reminds me of high school. the smell alone induces vomiting.

My guess is that Carl is just having a little fun. I pointed out that the pics were reversed several posts ago...

Well, my bad. I do tend to skim thru posts too quickly. After the first paragraph of the epistle according to Eccentric-Palmer, I'm looking at the next comment.:dizzy:

Good information, mind you, but I was on my way back out to the garage to finish the latest SL-4A resurection.:msp_wink:

Didn't make it today before dark. We'll fire him up in the morning.

Remington's paint problem with the Bantam types didn't improve with the PL/SL series BTW.

I wasn't bagging on you Carl. Just saying that you were likely having fun (with the LH saws comment) as you made it after I'd already pointed out that the pics were mirror images. You lost me on the epistle according to Eccentric-Palmer comment however. Don't know whatchu talkin' 'bout. Over my head I guess....

Strange. Wonder what changed. When I try to go to photobucket, the log on page is all messed up, with an error message at the bottom. I click 'log in' and nothing happens. My photobucket image in my siggy don't show up for me either...........yet it does for you. I have to admit that this last bit's kinda funny. The "Tractor Man" only works for my one friend who doesn't like IHC. :D

My photobucket hosted pics in recent posts don't show up for me now either. Nothing's been changed on my computer. I tried clearing the cache............and it did nothing. Does this pic show up for you? I just copied the code from my recent post in the Poulan thread. Just a red X in a white box for me now....

Blue Agave is much better than that comfort stuff. Tequila and Aaron don't get along that well in any case, but the 100% agave stuff is much less rough on me than the 'mixo' swill.

Success!!!

My lovely bride had installed a "safeguard" program on the computer without telling me. The girls are getting older and starting to use the computer more. All kinds of crapola comes up in searches and such, so Jenn was trying to protect the girls. Makes sense, but it blocked photobucket. Adjustments have been made and photobucket works for me once again!
