Looking for a trigger, handle brace, handle rubber insert and sheet metal cover for the recoil pulley. See below.

The above will make my 202 complete and the 306 won't have to share.

Remy PL/SL-4, PL5, PL/SL-55 misc. to trade. Also Homie XL-101 and C5 odds and ends to trade. There is the ever popular green 'checks' from our government.

Hiya Carl. These folks list that tin starter housing cover for $4.80. The rubber grip insert is $3.33. The bottom handle brace is $12.48. The trigger is $2.23.

Some of those are a bit pricey, but at least they're available. Surprisingly, the breaker points assy is still available ($9.34).

Thanks for the link Aaron.

Wouldn't you know it, I got a 306A from a Craigslist add two hours ago. But, it is a fine runner as is, so he won't be raped for parts.

Parting out or selling, pm me.

The mall has some white death damage and locked up but could be some good parts.
5-20 homie locked up.

Cleaning up an XL-12 I picked up a few weeks ago, it has bright spark and a good cylinder. Recoil was plugged almost solid with crud. I just got it back together. Now starting on this picture to clean.

That saw's gonna be tough to use unless you're hanging from your heels ... :jester:

It's for stumping so that is why it's upside down Durrrr:yoyo:

I primed it with a bottle and then after that it starts on the first pull and idles nicely. Went no further than that though.

I have been going through a bunch of chains and found several that will fit this saw so I figured I would use them up if I can get this running.

I don't think this saw has ever had the recoil cover off it.

Shane the old blue Super XL Automatic that you sent me a couple years ago was about that filthy. Sad part is that it still is that filthy....and is still in the box you sent it in. Hasn't had it's turn in line come up yet. Two more saws ahead of it got done today however..:D

I don't get all that much time to be in my 'saw shop'. Little ones, work, honey-do stuff...

When I am in there, 'higher priority' stuff (especially other folk's saws) goes to the front of the 'line'. Other people's saws get done before mine for obvious reasons. Some 'more cool' saws have come to me and 'cut in front of' that saw too. At least a couple dozen saws have gone on the bench since that little Homelite got here. It's also in a small box (powerhead only) and has been forgotten more than a few times over the last 2 years of it sitting on the shelf under my work bench. Poor thing. I need to spend an afternoon getting it de-gunked and up to snuff.

I just noticed that saw (actually the box) again today as I was tearing the shop apart looking for those C-series parts for Scott. It only really needs a good cleaning, the usual fuel system rehab...........and a clutch cover and drum/nut IIRC. It has been a while since I've looked in that box....

My routine of late has been to use foaming engine degreaser from O'Reilley's followed by hot water from the laundry room sink via hose. Pull the flywheel and ignition on the really caked up ones. Let dry and then blow the remaining crap off with shop air.

Even if taring it down it makes it more pleasant to tinker with.

I did pull the flywheel and used mostly compressed air to clean it up intially and then some spray cleaner and wipe down. The points and all were all very good on it:clap:

I hope to take it with me to a stump removal job today to see if it will run under load. I have nothing to cut here at home.
