Homelite Super 650

Looking for some parts for a super 650. Entire rear handle assembly, muffler shroud, mullfer, and a piston and rings and a pair of bucking spikes. I know that these parts are going to be real hard to find, but I would be interested in any parts that would fit this saw.

What other saws work for these? I have a dm50 demo saw I just picked up. It's in great shape minus the coil screws breaking off and ruining the coil. It even has a full wrap handle.

I think that the Super 650 shares some parts with the regular 650, and the 750. I'm not entirely sure on these, I just picked up the saw on Monday, and I'm trying to find IPL's and service manuals to get the exact part numbers. I'm also not familiar with the dm50. Got any pictures?

I can take one soon. I think this shares parts with the 450 and such... I can imagine how large the 650 frame would be.... This thing is a beast.

Would you be interested in selling what you have if these parts don't show up?

need a cluch cover for a yellow 660/650 got some paper to trade amongst other things

Just to clarify for my friend Dave........he's talking about the McCulloch 650/660 gear drive saws. Here's a pic of the clutch cover on my 650. Dave 's 660 is in very good shape (better looking than my 650) and he'd like to have it squared away before our GTG in the first weekend of November. I already provided him with a Tillotson HL63 to swap in place of the flatback carb on his saw.

He could also use a set of choke/throttle links from an HL equipped front tank McCulloch (250, etc). Otherwise he'll have to put 'Z' bends on his existing flatback application throttle/primer links.................and he doesn't have a whole lotta free time for such things while caring for his very pregnant wife....:D

Remington 754

I posted this in the Remington forum, but thought I'd give it a shot here, too...

I finally got my 754 apart. I thought I had a seized piston/cyl, but it turns out that one of the rod bolts had come loose. This happened at low RPM, so there's not too much damage to anything other than the bearings. I might replace the connecting rod just to be safe. My question is....how do you replace those little roller bearings? I haven't been able to locate a service manual......

You mean the little rollers in the connecting rod cap I assume. Put a coat of grease on the two halves, stick the rollers in the grease, and assemble carefully.

Yup, those are the ones! Thanks. At least I don't have to try to find a piston:bang:

Any chance of a carb kit for a Mac 3-25?? Funny looking carb. Couldnt tell you what kind it is. Maybe the experts will chime in.

Pics help .... :hmm3grin2orange:

Cant. No camera. Couldnt post them if i had them. Its nothing i have ever seen. Two piece thing with a funny looking diaphram (sp). Got a pair of cork gaskets on top, square, 4 holes. Has a glass bulb under it with a holder. Just weird. No numbers on it anywhere. Whats up with that?

Remington PL/SL-55 project(?). Needs crank, rod and piston. Cylinder has been dinged at top of transfer port by errant bearing roller. Missing all the covers.

Homie C5 carcass. Had it running (125 psi) but flywheel side crank bearing loose and flywheel would drag when pull starting. Missing all the covers. Tilly HL goes with it.

Misc. pile of Remy PL-4 and Wards/Remy PL-5 parts. PL-5 cylinder dinged at top of transfer port by errant bearing roller.

Above available for stamp money.

Also going to have 'leftovers' from making one good Poulan 306A out of two carcasses.

Still looking for a Remy PL-5 piston in serviceable shape.

There was no 'kit' for repairing that fuel system. The pump diaphragm, the metering diaphragm, the gaskets, and the needle (or ball, depending on what Mac felt like doing at the time) are all individual parts with their own numbers. Find the part numbers in the IPL and search for them. I've seen the 3-25 diaphragm NOS on feebay a few times.

Carl do you have a good serviceable C-5 clutch cover? I could use one. Also, I could use a good Poulan 200/300 series handle/tank casting if you have one left over from your carcasses.
