Are you talking about a Mall 7H? There is no intake manifold.
The carb bolts right to the cylinder.

Carl do you have a good serviceable C-5 clutch cover? I could use one. Also, I could use a good Poulan 200/300 series handle/tank casting if you have one left over from your carcasses.

Aaron: Handle/tank I will likely have leftover. The C5 clutch cover was AWOL on the carcass.

I have your address in my little black book.

carl, you gonna have a good sprocket cover, with the foot still on it, available? also, how about a set of spurs (dawgs)? if so, i'm interested.

Jerry: The only 306A clutch cover I will have leftover is the one that requires the 'crutch'. Yup, broken at the bottom.

Name your poison.

Carl.

There was no 'kit' for repairing that fuel system. The pump diaphragm, the metering diaphragm, the gaskets, and the needle (or ball, depending on what Mac felt like doing at the time) are all individual parts with their own numbers. Find the part numbers in the IPL and search for them. I've seen the 3-25 diaphragm NOS on feebay a few times.

so that i don't have to fab up a crutch (got everything gathered, measured, and set out just haven't done it yet--what a sloth,eh?) i'm wondering what it would take for me to take that crutch off yer hands?

okay good people (and bad). looking for a solid clutch cover (can be ugly as sin but needs to be solid - as in - have the foot) and the spike for a poulan 306A.

Let's see how your hunt truns out.

I can just mail the 'crutch' but, you would want to weld on a flat piece for a 'foot' as the thing now just sticks into whatever you set it on.

Carl.

Looking for a box to put Aaron's toy in.......................................................................

I purchased a dm 50 homelite demo saw that I'd like to part out or part with. It has great compression and is complete, but the coil at the flywheel cam loose and is broken. I think with a coil and a bit of clean up, it could be fine again. If anyone want s more info, pm me and we can work something out.

I also have:

a nice farmsaw case with a good crank, flywheel, and extras

Lombard ap42 parts

A newly acquired Remington super 754 in nice shape with near perfect roller nose

Lots of poulan mag parts...306a, 202?, 3400-4000, all small old poulans

Echo parts elv stuff

Antique big Mac bar with Mac cover and big emblem in bar. And. Big homelite bar with cover

Running complete mac timberbear and Mac 610 parts

Looking for 36" full wrap chaps or green stuff or whatever... No stihls, thank you.

Any idea if DM50 parts swap with DM54?

I think there are a few 306s in my honey hole away from home. I have a few people interested in older poulan parts so Ill try and get over there soon.

As for the dm50 to dm54.....I don't know. What parts do you want to swap?

If it there were alot of swappable parts it would be to keep dad's DM54 running into the future. It is very hard to find parts for that cutoff saw but the dang thing always starts and keeps on going. almost very part of the saw has been patched up at one time as we could not find replacements.

I believe the DM-50 is the equivalent to the 550 chainsaw, whereas the DM-54 is the equivalent to the 540, so not a whole lot of parts are going to be interchangeable. The engines are quite different.

Let me preface this with this statement.... I'm sure you know more about these than me as I know next to nothing about homelites.

From what I see, the dm50 is like the 450, which is similar to the 550. I know nothing about dm54s or 540s

The 450 and 550 are sister saws, with many interchangeable parts. The DM54/540 is a completely different animal. I was merely trying to answer the question as to whether a DM50 would be a good parts rig for a DM54.
