Might anyone have a 24" ... .063 ... .404 (if sprocket tip) bar to fit a Mac 250? I have stuff to trade .. please PM me ... thanks!

Ted, I'll check the pile tomorrow. I don't have any Mac branded bars for it, if I have one it would be NOS Oregon, Tsmura, Total... etc.

Ted

I sold my 250 months ago... I can't remember the bar pattern. :dizzy:
Anybody have a pattern they can email me? I cam PM my email addy to anyone that has a pattern.

Don't worry about it, Ed.

Looks a lot like a large frame Homelite (C-Series, 1050, Zip, etc) bar. Often has a 'thumbnail' cut milled into the side for the OLD saws that had the 'big screw head' tensioners. Four holes (two for oil, and two tensioners) on the old ones. Later large frame Mac bars look like 'oversized' 10-series Mac bars. Only two oblong combination oiler/tensioner holes.

Old style 'four hole' bar and newer style 'two hole' bar.

Old style bar (that I modified to oil correctly with the newer bar plates), showing the 'thumbnail' adjuster cut. That cut is unused on most large frame saws (after the D-44).

Ed PM your email address to me if you need to.

Ted, these are the only ones I have that came close. I think they are both Homelite mounts. Might be able to mod a little to fit the 250.
24" hardnose. I can send ya one if you like... I still owe ya. Or if you want to hold off for a direct fit or Mac branded... I understand.

OK I see that my post during the hackers party is lost so I'll repost now. I'm looking for a good coil for a PM610. It is an electronic ignition coil with a long spark plug lead. I'm trying to repair a neighbors saw and need the coil to get her running. I have Pro Mac 10-10 parts to trade plus some Stihl 021 and 029 parts plus some odd 017 & 020 parts. I also have a poulan 2150 parts saw that runs. It's missing some plastic and the clutch. Let me know what you need.

Ted,
I probably have a 24" .063 roller nose at the house to fit that saw and may even have two or three hard nosed ones with the correct bar adjuster slot. It came on a SP125 and was obviously way to short! When I get home next week, I'll look for it.

No need now, Randy. Crisis has been avoided. But thanks!
