Moody, how come you don't want to fully break it in first? If you go & do your thing, then video it for everyone on the edge of their seat it's not going to be showing it's full potential, right? Or did you break it in this weekend? Im no guru on the topic, just thinking out loud.

It's not going to be 100% of its potential. But I have saws to get done so I'm limited to the run time I get a day. I'll do an update video in a week or so. I just don't want to have a thread go stagnant waiting for the saw to break in

Yeah but aren't you going to do a side by side with the broken in 562 you have? If it ain't 100% & the 562 comes out on top, poor Magic Mike is never going to hear the end of it!! He'll be left defending his beloved 362 for eternity!! Hahaha...

Jimmy, thank you very much for your concern, you echoed my thoughts exactly! This place can get pretty tough at times, and things were just starting to calm down and get civilized! The worse part is, my hands are tied right now, I have no time to run saws till after 4/15. I think I'll have to find someone with a 562 after tax season and do a video so everyone can see that these are both great saws.
 
So here's a quick summary of the 362cm in my opinion.


Likes:

Upgraded filtration system
Ease of starting
Good AV
Two piece muffler
Captive bar nuts
Rigid almost to a fault

Dislikes:

Stamped bucking spike
Rib in the clutch cover (doesn't clear noodles too well)
I wouldn't trust the oiler with a bar longer than 20
The average guy wouldn't want to change the intake boot. Design makes disassembly a real chess match.

Overall opinion:

Saw performs well. A little bulky but balances well with a 20. It's real strong suit is bucking plenty of power for 59cc. It's a little awkward handling for someone who is used to an outboard clutch. I think that this would be an ideal firewood saw for guys who can only afford 1 saw. The m-tronic feature seems to benefit the saw in more ways than one. The saw is pretty fuel efficient and no tuning fuss makes it appealing.

I knew you were thinking that...Haha!! I can see it now.. ''But but but.. guys common, it wasn't broken in, I want a redo!!'' Hahaha.. I'm just playing with you.. I do like it rough around here though, it's amusing at times.

In all honesty I think this little CM is gunna be the under dog that either comes out on top or dead even as long as the variables are the same. I would have bought one myself but it was hard to do so coming from a light & tight 361 to something that breaks the 13 pound range my 440 is sitting in. I like my saws like my women, fast, slim & maneuverable.
 
We've had the dyno discussion in another thread. I'm not interested in it. If I were building full races saws then yes I'd love to have one but I'm building work saws.

Jimmy, thanks for your input, you really got me laughing. I may not have much experience with Orange, but I can tell you compared to my 044 (which has been my primary saw for over 20 years) the 362 C-M is definitely lighter and more nimble, and it cuts really well stock.

Moody, Thanks for your honest assessment, I think it was spot on. However, I have a question for you. Is it possible that this saw will like a different percentage of muffler porting that what you presume? Or is it possible that the 110% is great for a ported saw, but a little too much for a not ported one? I know none of us have unlimited time, but I would love to have seen more of a progression with the muffler porting.

What's the difference? They both need testing for a good runner.
