I figured this might be an interesting topic. If anyone has a spike design that they really like, then uploading a template so we know what you're talking about would be appreciated by many.
I also am thinking it would be interesting to see what kind of "frankenspikes" people come up with.
For example, I saw a spike on one saw that another member had, and it was on a Pioneer. I like the design of the spike, but obviously, no one sells it to fit on the McCulloch 600/700/800 series saws.
That's where the template comes in, I can trace the spike pattern off the Pioneer spike, then trace the bolt pattern off the Mac spike. Simply draw a couple of lines to connect the traced patterns and use the template to cut a spike out.
So, if we share spike templates, we could create a virtually endless "aftermarket" spike supply, and maybe even make spikes that literally are one-off by making "frankenspikes"
