that little tree took all day that's 1/2 hrs to get on the ground tom trees
Tom, if that was my job and you worked fer me, id give 3 minutes before i started cussin you ta hurry up:)

Good job Plas. Good man Dan for showing the new guy the ropes.

I did a tree just like that the other day with my new setup, Lave rope and a beeline splittail. By the time I got to the top the beeline had a pretty tight grip on the lava but it was wet. I knocked off the dead branches on the way to the top and rehung my Tibetan pray flag. Looks pretty nice out there blowing in the breeze.

Sorry no pics I am up here by myself and couldn't get up the tree fast enough to catch the 10 second self timer.

bee-line is a small diam rope, it comes in 5/16[8mm] and 3/8[10mm] the 8mm has a 12 strand vectran core with an outer cover of 75% heat resistant tecnora and 25% polyester, it has a mbs of 8000lbs. 10mm has a 12 strand polyester core and a cover that is a 50%/50% combo made from tecnora/polyester. 10mm is a little larger diameter and is rated less than the 8mm stuff @ 7500 tensile.
both cords are black and white in color, both are splicable, i like the 8mm better. imo there are better prusik cords on the market than the bee-line. sherrill has a few diff. prusik cords available, order the free catalog today!!!
