Timing Advance

I am wanting to advance the timing on my Echo CS-400, how much trouble is it to do?
Any one around here done this to their saw or for someone else?

Simple enough to do by modifying the crankshaft key, but most importantly, what are you hoping to accomplish?

well I have a stock saw right now. My neighbor has a compariable size stihl that he gutted the muffler and advanced the timing and now that saw is WAY better than it was. So I am wanting to see if I do the same with my echo if I would get similar improvements.
