Yukon John steered me to the site also.

Although I have never sold a saw here I have bought a few. I thought about listing a few but I guess I will think some more.. Even though this is a hobby it is a very expensive hobby and I cannot afford to sell saws and parts at a loss.

I think RJS sums it up on like the second or third page of this post.
C'mon, guys. Not all of you can be THAT dumb that you cannot understand what Darin is asking. John in MA, Darin isn't referring to you selling a used saw. Get real. Gypo, mentioning KD doesn't mean anything, just like me mentioning Bailey's or CCD doesn't mean anything. Darin is simply saying that people coming on here and blatently advertising for business for themselves without being a site sponsor is wrong. I believe EHP's second post on this site was for the purpose of soliciting work, although I cannot confirm since it seems to have been deleted (and rightfully so).

Yes, Ed tried it and since has been a good poster without advertising his business to the best of my knowledge.

The direct emails is kinda what I am after. Its like getting spam from arboristsite. I don't send you all spam and I sure don't want others doing it. If you send a email off this site. The email link says arboristsite.com.

John I appreciate the link you put on you saw ads. I does help the site. I also don't have to pay for the advertising. I would love it to stay on there.:)

Dan, I appreciate the offer, but if I ever do plan to sell, it will be on ebay. I kinda have a feeling that things are dying off here as people see what I am trying to achieve. I don't have nearly as many reported posts and emails.

I do have a bunch of guys writing me thinking they are the underground sales guy. If you feel that guilty. You wanna be a sponsor?
:D :D
Have a good ending to your weekend guys.

Darin, I posted that I was in posession of a rare chainsaw and did not want to own it. That thread led ultimately to a trade , that saw for a brand new Dolmar 7900 with 2 bars and chains. Surely I profited. Some of correspodance with the interested parties was "off forum" . I assume this type of transaction to be o.k. as it is a rare occurrance and I am not a dealer. Am I correct or did I break the rules?

Geez, Bill. Just ask yourself ONE question :"What do I do for a living?" If the answer does not contain the phrase "sell saws" than Darin is not referring to you. But if you still do not understand that, then don't sell any saws here. Geez, I cannot believe some people can be sooooo ignorant. (Go look that word up before going and complaining to the moderators. Most do not even know exactly what it means).

So you think I am ignorant. I guess because I think about future actions based on past experience that makes me ignorant. I do know what Darin is referring to. The point of my post is that I will may steer away from anything that may come close to boderline. Complaining to the moderators ? I have never had contact with them.
