Im building a new splitter Honda gx390, 22 gpm concentric pump .
Main 5" x 24" x 2" cyl and 1-1/2" x 8" adjustable wedge cyl. 2" x 12" log lift cyl.
I want to use a Prince auto cycle 2 handle valve with power beyond .
What Prince valve part number do i want to use to control the other 2 cylinder?
I have heard of quality issues with Prince valves who else makes an auto-cycle valve?
And if so, what would the part number be for 3/4" ports?
Thanks

Go there and you can do the leg work yourself.

on the log lift, use a valve with a pilot check valve. I always use a 3"x12" cylinder for my log lift, helps slow it down some! post some pics when you get started.

I'd put the auto cycle valve after a the wedge/lift valve.

You only need power beyond on the first valve.

a prince auto cycle is also a RD5000 series valve just like you linked to, they would cost the same to make them power beyond...they come standard with either closed or open center plugs, either valve would require the additional power beyond sleeve/adapter.

also valve placement depends on what the pressure rating is on each cylinder...my splitter's main/split cylinder is rated at 3000 psi, where as my lift cylinder as only rated at 2500 psi, so my split valve is first and relief is set at 2900 psi then power beyond to my lift valve where that is set at 2000 psi.
if you have the valve with the lower relief pressure first, then the valve(s) down stream will never see pressure higher than what the first valve is set at... if all pressure ratings are the same then it really doesn't matter.
id put the split valve first...as the fluid will have less restrictions and not have to run through an additional valve body before it reaches the cylinder, all the smaller stuff down stream doesn't matter as speed really isn't a factor on those cylinders.

When the auto cycle valve is first you don't have fluid available to the log lift valve when the main cylinder is in use. So you have to stop or wait for the auto cycle to end the splitting stroke before you can lift the next log into place.

With the log lift valve first you have fluid to raise the lift whenever you have the log ready.

The sleeve goes in place of the hex nut on the side of the valve. The outlet to the right is the T port. Not all valve bodies are convertible.

In the above pics they are using a pipe to connect the power beyond port of the first valve bank to the inlet of the auto cycle valve.

I have decided not to use the auto cycle valve. I am using a 3 spool mono block RD5300 series with SAE ports. I spent some time on the Prince web site deciphering the valve order codes.
I am accumulating parts and materials at this time . I can post a few photo's when I get into the build.

My question is about the first picture. There are three hydraulic lines going to the the return of the main cylinder. Two are for the auto cycle. What is the third smaller line for? Plus there are to hydraulic lines going to the extend port of the main cylinder. Why two. I have seen something similar on a built-rite 24 and still don't understand what is going on. Is this a custom tapped fitting that someone drilled and tapped?

Is it a pressure relief so the motor does not stall?

To answer my own question it is a dump valve. It dumps the exiting cylinder fluid to the filter then tank. With a large cylinder shaft the rate of fluid exiting the cylinder can be 3 time the pump rating.

Finally got the time to finish this over Christmas Break. Everything functions as designed. Split some white oak and it exceeded my expectations.
I probably went overboard for my first build.
