Vertex vent VS Big head?

Anybody use a vertex vent that also has a big head?

My head measures 65cm and obviously I have a problem finding helmets that fit and don't look like they should have a spike on top and I should be goose-stepping!

While I am proud of my heritage.... I just look silly!!

I am leaning to the Vertex vent because I am looking for a light helemt with a low profile for climbing.

I am just going to get this out of the way.... My head is like a melon!...

There.... with the obvious one out of the way.... Fire away!

I have looked at them in catalogs and checked out the specs on them also.

Both the pacific and the vertex say they will fit my melon. But if the vertex is going to ride higher than the pacific I may opt for the latter.


I would post a picture of how high an old Ecrin helmet rides on me.... but I am afraid of getting bills for ruined keyboards as people will spit beer all over the place when they see it!!!

i rock the trusty old husqvarna forestry helmet. the one with mesh visor and ear muffs. plenty of room in that thing for your big head i'd reckon.

Yep, that's what I use now. Works great, just looking for lighter option that I can also use on a high-ropes course I instruct on.

The kids make fun of me when I have my visor on!!! Little brats!!! LOL..

I have an oversized noggin and the vertex vent seems to work for me. Mens XL hats rarely fit me, even the elastic band ones.

Yep, when I find a ball cap that fits, I usually buy a couple of them.
