Lol. I'm waiting for daughter to get home from school. Then I'm heading out. I'll be there at 3:20 pm. Good thing you sent this, nobody said "Diet" Pepsi.

blast!
i forgot to mention that he drinks tepid folgers from a dirty mason jar.
if you have any day old folgers in a pot at home bring it in a thermos. he will likely have his own mason jar to drink out of.

make sure youy tell him 'blue hawaii' is your second favorite movie, after 'oh brother'.

i need to edit my other post......

Shenk's is good, I bought some mix oil there when I was cutting at Geo Wash forest. They were very helpful I thought.

Just take a Wendy's #7 combo meal for every ten chains you want done, and he'll do them for free on his lunch break. :)

Whats that ole song Redd Fox used to sing, What Kind Of Fool Am I,LOLOL

That feller showed up abit ago. Brought in a 028. We got him all fixed up. Joat called while he was here and said give that man a discount so as usual I did.

That cat didn't bring me no meal or pepsi though. I forgave him when he told me his wife was a big Elvis fan. I did write his name in my "charge him double next time" book after he asked where I kept the Demi doll, oh he's gots to pay for that,:hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange:

I thought everyone was kidd'in, but they were right. I'll have to bring that #7 and a diet next time. Great shop. Just what I was looking for. The guy running it is "OK" too if you can get past the Elvis posters and continuous loop of "Blue Hawaii" playing in the background.

Hee hee! Told ya!

The man you want to see is the King Himself, Tom Hall. He's in He's the saw guy at TW Perry in Leesburg. Tom is top notch, first rate, good man. Well respected here on AS. But don't tell him I said that. He's also ugly, and you CAN tell him I said that! :D

I don't know of a good Stihl dealer in the Valley. There are a ton of small dealers around here, but I just don't know if they are any good or not.

Miller's Hardware in Stephen's City MIGHT be good. They used to sell just saws, with no servicing. However, since they moved to their new location, they seem to have a full time tech. I chatted with the manager late one evening about saws, and he seemed to know his stuff, and spoke highly of his tech. Well, of course, he would, but still , he did seem to know saws.

One place to avoid like the PLAGUE is Grand Rental Station on Route 7 in Winchester. They think they are doing you a favor to acknowledge your presence, and they don't know beans about saws. They rented me an 029 with a dull chain and summer weight bar oil in it, when the temps were in the low 30s. At least, they did after they deigned to notice my presence.

The John Deere dealership across the street from them does sell and service saws. Good people. I've had my Echo serviced there. I don't know if they've picked up the Stihl line, now that JD dealers have access to it. If they have, and are servicing them, they'd probably be a good choice.

There's also a place in downtown Front Royal. They're pretty grumpy. Dunno if they know a hill of beans or not.

Welcome to the site!
How do you get in touch with Tom Hall in Leesburg? Would you happen to have a phone # or email address? Let me know..Thanks for your time.
