Oak Alley

Thanks again guys, I got in two cuts on the log from the big white oak stump in my mom's back yard yesterday, then the rain hit and shut me down. I was under the carport and saw lightening hit a backhoe about 75 yards behind the house where they are putting in culverts for a new neighborhood. It rained 2 1/2 inches in about 20 minutes!

I'm sure I will enjoy the new saw, but won't be needing too many options here.

LOL on Oak Alley, that's about 20 minutes from the house and those oaks have to be seen to be believed. We mostly have White Oak, Red Oak, Chinese Tallow, Pine, Gum and plenty of Cypress down here.

I learned real quick that the 250 is ok, but not up to cutting very fast in medium sized white oak, so I picked up a 361. Also made the local dealer much more prone to working out the bugs I was having with the 250 .....

It will get used, when the wx cools off in the fall we will be having some 25 - 30 inch white oaks dropped from the fence line in my brothers back yard. We plan to cut it up for fiewood for ourselves and do all the clean up ourselves.

Chris

Congrats

Does the Magnum Sticker give you any appreciable performance gains?:biggrinbounce2:

I don't have one of those yet.........

Man Yeah!

It's like a whole different saw! Turns it from Erkel into Mr. T!

Ya gotta make sure you stick it on the carb box cover and not on the cylinder shroud though... that makes ALL the difference.

Are you guys kidding?? I heard he just bid on a takedown job. Multiple trees down the road at Oak Alley....

Man thats a nice road up to the house ,,, sort of Tolkien :)

Congratulations on getting a top saw. With those big oaks it sounds like a time for a get- together. Bring all the big boys out and have some fun.
