Somebody's talking crap here & it ain't the tree!
Those ES Light bars are crap.
They don't come in a Husky mount...

Yeah and the colours don't match on a husky... :msp_thumbdn:
Yep them light bars are good, nice to see ya getting with the times, the only way to improve that pic is if the saw was a ported 441CR.
I'd do that mate. I run all my saws on 98RON BP Ultimate with the occasional 98RON Caltex Vortex if Ultimate hard to get. A local independant has a 100RON fuel for sale at the moment but it contains ethanol so I'll give it a miss. I know it may not be necessary but for one BP Ultimate is a higher grade of fuel and two it will give you a small buffer over 92RON if something happens while running it. That small buffer in octane could potentially save your saw.
The only reason I asked about run on is that my 210psi Dolmar with pop up etc started to show signs of run on in 40°C+ heat (approx 104°F+) the way it was originally tuned.
I richened it up half a turn which put an end to that. Mine is warm compression though (or was when I last checked it) but the proof is in the pudding and that 460 of yours runs pretty well
It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy that old mate Mastermind likes high compression too There are a few builders around that have disputed the old compression makes torque theory when I've brought it up before which goes against basically every other internal combustion engine theory on the planet.
When I dropped the base gasket out of your 390XPG and machined a small popup the 25psi odd increase in compression gave a noticable power increase (and throttle response) with no other change to the tuning.
Well i got 20L of BP Ultimate and the 261 and 460 ran like crap so went back to BP 95 and all good ???
so will stay with 95RON
Retune
yep i ain't no mug lol, didn't mater how i tuned them , less power and the 261 would not hold tune at wot
drifted all over the place.
went out before and retuned for the 95RON and all good all stable and grunt
the 261 was not much better than a ms260 i kid you not ???
the 460 held tune but was gelded haha
I can see a time where chainsaws tune themselves...
Don't be silly Rudy. You've been watching too much Sci-Fi and smoking weed again haven't you?
Sumfin ain't right there then. I've switched between 95RON and 98RON and never had to retune and have never noticed any drop in performance. Must be that Victorian BP Ultimate
I can see a time where chainsaws tune themselves... now wouldn't that be a hoot :monkey:
i will just stay with the 95 there both working as they should so it ain't broke i ain't gunna try and fix it

hang on some of my saw tune them selves but.
well on the redgum again today i'm gunna have to get a mill one day all solid
lucky i looked at me hat today before i put it on don't need one of these running down the back of me neck
making me think it's something dangerous LOL
