That's up there. Keep the old girl nice and rich and watch for run on She'll be a torquey beatch.
She gained a little more after break in than I figured she would. Watch her in the heat.....keep the fins clean and she'll be fine though.
yep cuts like a saw possessed tuned at 14000 take it down to 13700 and you lose a fair bit
so far have had no run on
no probs randy i don't cut when the temp is above 72*F if i have any problems can i put a .5 mm base gasket in her

It sounds perfect to me Big D.
I like big compression ya know.......but 220 is on the very edge. :msp_unsure:
think i'll start running it on 98RON
On some of my saws with a bunch of compression I'll pull the muffler and inspect the piston crown once in a while. So far I've not seen any signs of trouble running 87 non-ethanol and Belray H1R at 36:1.
top of the piston is very dark could say black but can still see machining marks so no carbon build up lite brown on edge
at the EX port exit
So.....no signs of detonation.
think i seen that on another thread.piston crown like the surface of the moon right :msp_biggrin:
Correct.
I think your probably fine Mr. D. I gotta 395 pumping a hair more than that, Im very cautious and kept a close eye on it for awhile. I ran 3 tanks through it on Saturday and checked it again Yesterday, It looks great! Pump gas ethanol blend () and 32:1 synthetic.
Thanks for that reply Durand. David's 395 is blowing 230.......what do you think about that?
Thats exactly what mine is..... wonder why?:msp_sneaky:
