About 3-4 months ago a friend came across a Stihl sign for me at an auction. I didn't get an opportunity to get it until now. Not bad for $150. Its about 4'x6'. I didn't know it was nearly this big when I got it. Now I have to figure out where to hang it. I had to drive 2 hours each way to get the sign while on vacation 3 hours from home. So I think Stihl should give me a little something for 5 hours of advertising on the way home.
I went away for the first time all summer last week and I went to a county fair near my cabin in upstate. There was a Husky dealer there selling Oregon chain... If you bought 1-9 chains the price was $15 a chain. For 3/8 .050 72DL. If you bought 10 or more chains it was $12 a chain. So I forked out $168 and this is where we are now... ( I am only keeping 4 chains, the rest are going to others.) If people are interested and live close or near Walton NY, that is where I got the chains. The guy who sold them has a shop in town.
About 2 weeks ago, I was browsing craigslist for equipment for my boss since he is always looking for more equipment for his company, and I happened to see a local tree company in the area closing up shop. So my boss and I took a ride over. He picked up a mint 9 month old MS460 for $350 and I picked up a really clean 7 month old MS440 he had for $275. The 460 and 440 were hardly used as they were back up saws bought after Hurricane Sandy. They guy had 3 440's a 460 a husky 576, and quite few other saws. The handle is scratched up because all of the saws were stored hung from the handles.
