ive been doing tree work about 15 years, i always called butt logs butt logs, but now i am in business for myself and talking to customers trems like butt logs and croches dont sound as good like when your talking to another climber. ive gotten good with calling crothes, branch unions infront of people but nothing rolls off the tounge like butt log :redface:

Jk assuming your referring to the log just above the stump, thats a good question... bottom log maybe not sure.
