What do you take to the woods?

I take saws. Old ones. And my girls as much as I can. The only heat I pack is the odd sling shot in the back pocket. No need for them to know fear up here.

Yes helmet a win win! My dad had a limb get him in the head before. I also where my chaps.

A climber cut a big live limb over a closed pool, it was being roped down. I went to grab it to pull it away from pool, a 4 foot chunk fell off that skimmed my shoulder/forearm. That chunk went threw the diving board and cracked the base. 2 inches over would of broke my shoulder, 4 inches over would of likely killed me. I look more carefully now before grabbing/shaking limbs when there gettin roped down. Felling tree's with dead up top is trouble too, I'm pretty fast but... My new helmet is pretty comfortable and sometimes I leave it on after the tree is down.
