It is 100% stock with about 5 hrs run time & has been well taken care of.

For now, I'm not trying to sell but rather get an idea should I decide to.

I am going to revive this thread, as I am considering picking up a 180 or 170 to use for light work, and found no completed auctions on ebay. What is a used one in decent shape worth (ballpark)?

Mine went for $125 on Ebay, with more use than yours. There is one on there now at $150 I believe.

I sold a well used 018 for more than the msrp of a new one last winter. :hmm3grin2orange:

With some models of saw there is a big difference between what it's worth and what they sell for on ebay.

Sometimes Ebay is nothing but insanity.

If somebody comes across a reasonably priced, decent 180 let me know.

Steve here... Nice Stihl saws command blood on EBay... Don't waste your money on a 180...

No kidding on Ebay.

Why is (a cheap used) 180 a waste? Looks like the perfect little saw to tote around on the tractor to trim branches and bamboo back, to use for limbing tops and on kindling, etc.. I already have bigger saws.

Sorry, I was being a smartass. The MS180 is about 200$ new.

I would expect one that had 5 hours use on it and taken care of to bring about 130-150?
