Just a moment ago saw on a news blurb that MOST hunting accidents do not involve guns. They involve hunters falling off tree stands....prob cause hunters are too macho to put on a harness.
It also said that 33% of hunters in tree stands take a fall and some are fatal (pissing, moving around, getting too comfortable, etc etc). I had a gm that went deep in the woods and fell out of his stand and spent 10 hours with his leg stuck in a crotch 30 feet up in the air. Woulda been a carcass up there if another hunter had not heard his screams.
