What's Up with the Water?

We've got a problem here! It's crazy how we're in a drought here while other parts of the country are getting deluged. Anyone else watering out there? I know Swingle does.

I've spent a lot of time this summer tooling up to the fire hydrant, shooting 1000 gallons in and spraying it out (takes an hour/1000 gal to water). For big jobs (10,000+ gallons), we refer people to the pool filling companies with their tankers. Usually, though, one of our sprayers will do the job.

Have you tried Bob Wulkowicz's "hydro kielbaso"? Here is link to an article in which it is described. Go down to where the heading says rehydration. The link to the patent is at the bottom of the article. Bob won an ISA award for watering the trees in Chicago Parks in 1988. It only required one treatment per group of trees each couple of months.

Interesting article. It seems to cover 2 or 3 distinct topics, though....figured that out part-way through.

We do a lot of whole-landscape watering - not just particular trees. Tomorrow, for example, someone is getting 2000 gallons delivered to bring part of their yard up to snuff. So the sausage would be good for individual trees, but we're dealing with a broader definition of watering.
