signs

As a Signshop owner the price of your ground stake sign will vary from $2.75 a sign (Basic 1 color screenprint on coroplast w/ no stake , en mass) to over $120.00 per sign for a steel cage frame W/ photographic alumalite faces with twin riders under the main... really depends on what you want....We often do $550.00 -$2500.00 temporary Site-signs for contractors around here with raised wood carved design elements! depends on what image you are looking to place into the community you are trying to reach.

I did some looking a while back and it looks like the ones that give a good deal on the printing, gouge on the stakes.

One of the primary contractors I climb/consult for got a couple hundred that were half FIREWOOD, and half TREE SERVICE with the same phone number. Then they hit him hard on shipping.

$35 a sign? You sure you didn't mean $3.50 a sign?

I'm about to get some from a local print shop for about $5 a sign, qty 50.

No mistake they are $35.00 per sign with out a frame. I make the frames myself out of small angle iron. They are nice with graphics and multiple colors to grab attention. We do not just stick them any where at that price. If we are in a high traffic area we might ask the home owner if they mind the sign being out by the road for a few days.

Assumptions and worthless babble as usual.

I can't recall assuming much unless when we( lions club) Were picking up trash on the side of the road and all the cantankerous old guys kept pissing about how they would put their foots up the asses of whoever those signs belonged to.
Also I guess I was asuming that the people who ask me" You are not going to put a sign up are you?" don't want a sign either.
Yall talk about sueing the first sob who even looks at tree wrong, the fine for litter is 300.00
But sure , want to be another guy they call out to see if you will go lower than the last go ahead. it works.
Its the cheap plastic pieces of crap that I hate. they scream N.E. Philly automall. Tacky to the point of vulgar.
Want a sign to say what it is you want to say about your company? Save your pennies and get a billboard.
When I do work for other companies they know I will carry their equipment and personel in my truck. I did get amusement when they got all mad when I wouldn't put their signs in there.
I also assume something else Custom, that you like me. Come on, everbody just loves me.

You are right to asume that I am using this forum to spout out some of the thoughts and feelings I have about my industry AND all I should maybe have said was to becareful of where your signs end up cause there is a bunch of old timerss( who really do my advertising) who show up on chilly mornings in thin pants and golf jackets to clean them up, along with your coffee cups AND that I think plastic is for punks. But that is me. How are you by the way?
My nephew is a 25 year old boy, I think the only thing he trolls for is #####es in heat. Seriously, 'she' would be my niece.

Whatever Dan, you just keep showing up to your jobs in your ford 1/2 ton with a hood scope and a dingo. You think you have it all figured out but in reality you are just envious of the guys that can run a full time (legitiment) company when you can not. (qoute)- Plastic signs are for punks, :censored: you buddy.

What? Do you have some kind of anti-sign fetish? You seem overly obsessed with telling people that like to use them how bad they, the signs, are.

Personally, I don't care if you like them or not. The OP asked "Where are you guys ordering yard signs from?" and since you don't even use them, I don't see why you're even posting in this thread.

You got it! I just hate when a tree service uses those plastic signs. A sign says a lot right off the bat without saying anything at all. A good tree service sign should be quite the statement. Not someting compared to a furniture store liquidation sale. It burns me to see you guys useing them.
Those signs say that you have money to toss into cheap advertising you don't care blows away.
I am now going to get off my ass and get started on the signs I have been wanting to make. I figure 3 nice dureable signs that I can move around and keep for a long time AND won't hold that" straight to the landfill" aura( which is not only cheapening us but killing as well).
Did I mention I hate plastic? A solid sign shows a solid company. I should not be telling you this. you are the G damn compettition. But go ahead toss em out a helicopter.

Like I said, I don't care if you like them or not and don't really want to hear your opinion in this thread. If you feel like you just have to share your hate for these signs, you should start your own thread and then rant all you want.

I think I did a little more than just share my hatred of plastic signs. I would say" git yer head out of there" but its rude so I won't.

Come on big guy. Don't gimme that, its weak and you know it AND you know what I meant.
Actually, the sign part is good, durable, inexpensive and nice; its the metal stands that give them the tacky rap. Put the sign in a nice angled steel frame- get the groundies to hammer them in, it will give my nephew a challenge.
I didn't mean to wage war over this but I always seek out the weak link and in this case its the stands that hold up the signs. I really hate the " next stop- LANDFILL" mentality,I can't express that enough, sorry.

In case you haven't figured it out, it's called cost effectiveness. They are inexpensive and get the job done in mass quantities which is something you can't do with a "nice angled steel frame". The whole point is that they are cheap enuf to be disposable. If some crazy redneck in a truck with his nephew in the back with a graple pulls it up after only being there for a week or two, it doesn't really matter.

All of your whining and moaning isn't going to get people to stop using them.:monkey:

I know but I do it anyway, bring back mom an pop, I can't take anymore of this chinze. When i was a kid you could get a big wooden sign for a nickle. But I might have made one person think about it.
