I know this is off the topic somewhat, but I thought I'd share it with you.

Just lately I've been buying alot of concrete saws. I find the Stihls nice to work on.

Noticed this one on the bay advertised as working + another one for spares or repairs.

I had to laugh though when I saw this picture of the guy demonstrating his saw.

Working eh... not for much longer me thinks.

But it's half a pound lighter in this configuration.... :)

I see your point, but pretty soon it will only be of any use as a hammer.

No airfilter, no boots, no eye protection, no ear protection, ******.

either that , or they just dont give a crap. more likely they dont know though. you mean theres supposed to be a filter there? thats why it died.

Probably that he wasn't the dumbest thing on the patio.

He wasn't showing how good it worked. He was showing the next buyer how messed up he was going to make it before you got it.

Dan,

I see you have some Dolmar 309's. Have you used any of there newer series saws? Take a look at the PC7314 Series saws. Everybody that has used them likes the feel of these saws much better than the other brands.

166,

Dolmar aren't that common in the UK. They are about, but the bulk of what I see are Stihl and Partner. That said, Makita ones seem to sell well. Is there a comparable Makita model of the one you mention?

For my mind the 309 strikes me as a half hearted attempt at a concrete saw, just a 123 chainsaw with a few quick mods. Seem quite heavy and the weight is biased to the cutting head, unlike the Stihls I have. Definitely a floor cutting saw, but plenty power.

Dan,

Check the Makita DPC 7311 73cc 14"/35cm saw.
