I think I can mod the stock muffler, I am looking for a three shoe clutch now. Canā€™t seem to locate one so prob leave it as is until I do.

I would like to do the conversion just have never done it before so I am reading about that here. Pretty sure I can manage it though. Also have to check the oiler as it doesnā€™t appear to be working. I have not had a chance to tear into it yet so mabe a cleaning is in order IDK.

Must be super clean 261 vibes in the air. I picked up one two nights ago off Marketplace that honestly looks like it was used to cut up one tree and then put away. It came with the hard case all original literature a bar a brand new chain too. I canā€™t believe I got it for what I did (honestly have no idea what something like this is actually worth but I gotta think more than what I payed. Would you mind letting me know what you picked yours up for? I got all of it for $100. šŸ˜

I already have a NOS 262 XP piston in the works. Iā€™m not sure what Iā€™ll do with the muffler. Iā€™d hate to maul the factory one mauling it with my less than nonexistent metal working finesse. Used 262 mufflers in ugly but functional to decent seem to be Tony fit $30-$40 so thatā€™s not the worst I guess. Iā€™m not planning on doing jack for the clutch. My says are my hobby so they get very little use and from what Iā€™ve read, those that keep the 2 shoe guy one donā€™t have issues. šŸ™‚

Not so long ago I went for a bit of a drive to pick up a 48 inch Duromatic bar- has featured elsewhere on here as it came with 2X 3/8 chains, a Granberg Alaskan MK3 48 inch milling frame and a very low use great condition 2094 Jonsered.
Now that bar retails here for $9 change from $1K- I got the whole lot for less than half that- so maybe it should have featured here as well. :D
But it looks a bit better (if hellishingly nose heavy) on the 075 and wearing a new .404 skip tooth chain.

So, its 31/12/24 here- so here is to more suckage in 2025!
That looks funny with that suessian sized bar on it. šŸ˜‚

Nice score.

I had no idea this thread existed or else I wouldā€™ve posted when this envy inspiring gift occurred.

Iā€™m not sure who all knows the YouTuber Jacob, Rogers, a.k.a. Guilty of Treeson but Iā€™ve been watching his videos for quite a while. He has an online shop called sappy supplies and in June I ordered two ratchet Screnches from the site for about 50 bucks. Thing is that at that time I was having work done to my home as I was about to put it on the market. The guy who was doing the work was also a chainsaw enthusiast and when the package came in, he was there working and seemed to be pretty enamored with the ratchet screnches. Well I had two of them, did I really need two? Didn't think so so I gave him one. I like to think that that small Kindness that seemed to make him very perhaps led to what transpired later.

So here we are at the beginning of August and I get an email from sappy supplies saying my order was complete and it was on its way to me. I hadnā€™t ordered anything when I click the email it just said saw and the price was zero dollars free didnā€™t say anything else. I figured it was some sort of spam or you know phishing attempt and I just ignored it and deleted the email

About three days later, I got another email saying that this package was delivered at my house so I went back to my home and you can not imagine the rush of adrenaline. I got when I opened up this package and it was a brand new 562XP complete with some Westcoast felling dogs and the full wrap handle (put it in and just makes the saw feel unwieldy, plus we donā€™t need for wraps here in Missouri) as well as the normal half wrap.

I was convinced that there was just some sort of mistake and later that evening went to the sappy supply website, looking for their contact information to let them know this sauce showed up at my house, and I stumbled upon their giveaway pop-up, and when I looked at the previous or past winners and it said my name with the Husqvarna 562 XP next to it Iā€™m mightā€™ve pissed myself a little bit on the couch. Donā€™t tell nobody though itā€™s a little embarrassing.šŸ˜†.

I honestly couldnā€™t believe it. They didnā€™t notify me other than that email which literally just looked like some ******** that they were sending me a $800 chainsaw with some extras and I had won the raffle or prize really was one of the more wild experiences Iā€™ve had in my life.IMG_1765.jpegIMG_1766.jpegIMG_1767.jpeg
