North pole greens keeper
Well this was a huge surprise yesterday afternoon/evening and came true today! I found a fresh posting on CL saying 36" stihl chainsaw. I looked at the pictures and sure enough, its a Stihl 090! It said it needed a piston and rings per his Stihl dealer and also said "make me an offer". So I did. I was the first to make an offer and they honored that. They told me it was mine and to pick it up today. I drove almost two hours, one way, for this one. Really good people as well. The history: It was originally from a tree service company through a relative of his then passed down to him. It was well taken care of. I haven't even run a rag over it yet. His Stihl dealer took it apart and concluded that it only needs a piston and rings. I found the muffler cover missing and a bolt here and there. But that's it. He knew what it is worth and still gave me the deal of this century. I don't think anyone could smack me hard enough to get this grin of my face
