At my place of work, a water utility,we have many acres of forested land around our wells and tanks that we maintain,Although not nearly as much as we should(att Boss!) Our sites our clean though, but we could do more with timber management.Anyway,we have a 372 xp and we had an old 034 AV that we traded for a 339xp.When my boss told me that was the one he wanted, the first thing I thought of was Ugly Betty.Like many ugly women In my past ( ! ) Betty has a good personality. All controls are well located.Maintanance is a snap with easy air filter access and a plate around the sprocket to help cleanup.Recently I took Betty with me to a site for removal of a beatup maple and a cherry that was misshaped and a hazard to the site. Thanks to a primer bulb,Betty fired off in three pulls. After a warmup we went to town on this maple,approx,10'' Dbh.The first tank left me skeptical,as I thought an xp saw would have more oopmh. But like an ugly girl with a few beers,on the second tank of fuel,Betty started to put out!Even with a Husky H30 chain, she really through the chips.Even did some noodles while ripping .All in all,Im quite happy with Huskys 339xp,Its one ugly betty that you wont mind being seen with.

The H30 is the 95VP (narrow kerf .325), and I seriously doubt that any other type of chain will perform better on that saw.........:biggrinbounce2:

Even when I consume a large quantity of beer, a husky never seems to look good. I'm kidding. I just thought I'd be the first one to put a smartA$$ comment in the thread.

Keith - very comical and entertaining story.

The Troll really wanted a 339xp, but now has problems with finding an excuse for it, after I bought him a FS200 brushcutter........:ices_rofl: :ices_rofl:
