PAPLUMBER: there isn't any part for an 026 that is not available...

How do I help him order the correct drum? The ones he keeps getting have a little notch in the edge. I'm guessing this would be for an 026 Pro that only oils when the clutch in engaged.

Hmmmmmmm drum was too deep, thats the one for the adjustable oiler. You need the thin one for the non adust oiler. Well I'll be, lookie here, a 8-tooth racal for that saw, 1121-640-2005. Though its a entire sprocket, no spur gear, it will speed up your chain, nice for limbing. $19.95, in stock..

The one I have now is a .325-7. Would I have to change chains if I chaned to an 8 tooth?

Order the one I just gave you the number too, trust me you'll like it...

Yes the ones with the groove run the worm gear for the adjustable oiler. Your 026 has a thin sprocket and no grove, no need for it, has no oil worm gear to turn.

Must be embarassing that either one has better customer support for ipl than Stihl, eh there Thall? :D

I dont see Husky or Poulan out here tonite helping anyone, hmmmm. I think its funny I had a Husky 36 come in today and its so called dealer support is nowhere to be found in my area, why is that saw sitting in a Stihl shop and why doesn't it say made in Sweden, is it a Husky or is it a Poulan painted orange, only the the E-lux gods know for sure,LOL

No indeedy. Pop it on and go. You'll lose a tad of torque but who presses on a 026 anyway. The chain speed is great for limbing...

Thank you. Limbing is about all I use this saw for anymore. Any tree with meat on its bones calls for the 441 these days.

I'll bet the Husky dealers on here would be helping if it were a Husky. :hmm3grin2orange:

Beleive it or not I put a 8 tooth .325 sprocket on a little 023 yesterday for a old man who said his saw is ok but the chain moves so slow. I let him try it out in a pine log we got and he was like wowowow, this is great.

I'd get another dealer.. he must be an idiot... or tell him to show you the IPL, then then point out the right part number!! The picture clearly shows which has the notch and which doesn't.

If you want a RIM sprocket system, hust order 1121 007 1001 - for .325 7T, -1002 for 8T.

I do tend to run the dull chains a little longer than I should. Higher chain speed sure won't hurt on the Hemlock job I am currently doing. Lots of limbs 3" diameter and less.

In that kind of sawing you'll love the chain speed, go for it....

Not to belittle you any Andy or Thall, you all are very helpful and free with your time, but I've seen Bailey's help customers with their Husky saws numerous times on this board. Criticizing Husky dealers for not looking up a Stihl part number for which most don't have books is not a fair criticism.

Rim Sprocket Kit is the way to go!!!!!

Thank you.
There are two dealers fairly close, but both have trouble ordering parts. The other one is ripping expensive. I try to avoid that one if I can.
