Now your talking and then you have to pressure test it.The kit came with the saw, my uncle bought it with the intention of fixing it himself, before giving it to me. Im considering putting rings on the oem piston and putting the oem jug back on.

Someone' has some splaining to do,, Lucy! Not one time ever out of hundreds and they all ran good.
Ok, but it kinda runs now…Now your talking and then you have to pressure test it.
Just WHAT ?Or how about this you are an idiot! You come in here insult everyone tell us we cant get it running over the net then I tell him to put a carb on it and it runs! Why dont you just ****!
Out of time ....Ok. Well it kinda jerked itself in my hands while i was running it, and it started to sound like an actual saw, but still wouldn’t rev. Its spitting gas back out the carb too.
How can it get out of time? The flywheel is keyed for moses sakes. How could i even change it?Just WHAT ?
Out of time ....
Well listen either buy a new carb or pressure test it.Ok, but it kinda runs now…
May not be the right flywheel , keyway postion on crank , lots of variables ... even the wrong polarity on magnets .... my problem was short block was made for another engine ... Still have original short block , and another short block same as what I used ...with different keyway position .....How can it get out of time? The flywheel is keyed for moses sakes. How could i even change it?
Red as in glowing red? I listened to the video, it sounds kinda rich to me. Use the method described here to tune the saw, then tell us how the saw sounds:Well i got home put it together and it ran. Sounded like piss but it ran. The muffler turned red. Im confused now.

That ain’t right, the muffler should never be glowing red. I understand on the age thing, I’m not sure why there’s an age limit on joining this forum. Legalities maybe?Yeah glowing bright bright red

Only reason i could think that it would glow is an extreme lean condition. It was an aftermarket dual port muffler, and i put on the oem one after. That ain’t right, the muffler should never be glowing red. Didn’t seem that hot. Haha that will get a rise out of you… it was an aftermarket dual port muffler, that i “failed to mention”Get the muffler of a chainsaw glowing red and the rest of it should be dripping in wee flaming droplets on to your boots.
