Ok so I've lurked for a long time here and I finally had to register and rant a little to feel better.

Took a used 044 that I recently bought used in to a local Stihl dealer (I suspect that this may be the same chain of dealers Lakeside works for?) to fix some things. Clutch, seals whatever else was wrong. Well I've called them every couple weeks and for the last month they've been saying they're waiting on parts but it should be done in a few days. Whats going on? Is it normal to wait this long? I thought they would at least call me with an update every so often but not a word. :bang:

Oh well at least I don't need it at work right now.

I don't work for a chain... and if you took it to a rental company, well...

Every part needed for an 044 is stocked at Stihl NW in WA and is available, overnight.

Get your saw back and take it to a real saw shop. Even when we are really busy, it's unusual for a saw to be in the shop for more than a week.

My shop never takes that long. Never had them fix anything but parts are in usually in 1 or 2 days. I'd say get it back and take it to a real dealer. Evan
