That was a super nice buck. Almost got a nice 10 pt like that up near Indian Lake a couple of decades ago, but a small Hemlock absorbed my arrow just before it reached the shoulder (only 20 yds away). I think the tree touched him when it bent over. I was still hunting on a cool rainy day. Unfortunately, the guy sold the cabin (on the lake) soon after. He and his sister inherited it from the parents, and they were fighting!

I hunt in Indian lake. Going there in 2 weeks. I love the dacks

I'm heading out on Thursday @ lunch!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!! going to check zero on my trusty Remington 700 chambered in 6.5 X 284 Norma Deer rifle after Mass in the morning!!!

I'm so stoked/pumped!!!!!! I just love fall weather, and Hunting season!!

They have some monsters in Texas too. I wish TX and KS deer would migrate into OK. We have some decent deer (few and far between though) but nothing like TX & KS.
