I should have included a photo - here's one of the starter showing the separate 'keep'

You might notice in the still photo there's a man having his picture taken with a 2-man Mac.
They have the big Merc hidden so you'll be under the impression the Mac had done the cutting!

Short vid of a Poulan 52 up close and running.
I'm trading a friend in Sasketchewan this saw for a Super Twin IEL
Igpoe:cheers:

Dean,

That is one sweet saw. I know Kevin will appreciate it as much as you will appreciate the Super Twin. Maybe someday we can make a trade. I am always open to trades. Good ole Kevin will be getting a big ole box of goodies this week from me. I hope to see some down here next week

This is the saw I traded the 52 for. I just got it going about 20 seconds before the start of this vid. It had a dead short on one of the wicos for years. After removing the questionable coil, I could see a spare keyway grounding the points on that cylinder. So it was fixed without further expense. I've got a lot more work to do before the Central Va. GTG obviously. Opinions?

nice saw! love the sound of the twin's, need a vid of it under load ,. sounds better that way.:msp_wink:

A Titan Blue Streak for Christmas

I took delivery of this machine today - A Titan Blue Streak Automatic. It is in great original condition, with alot of original paint remaining on the powerhead and helper handle assy. The saw negotiated its way from the US, and then onto Canada, which is where I was able to make a deal on it. A big thankyou to Kev for letting me negotiate the deal.

Here are a few pics of the saw:

Regards,

Chris.

Well done, Chris! See her in some wood soon?

You won't need your glasses to file that chain.

Monster saw Chris.

C hris,
VERY nice saw!. Oregon #11 Harvester chain fits it if you need a modern replacement.
Oh, and be very carefull removing the idle tube from the carb. You may even want to remove the carb from the saw first. You'll see why. Post us a vid of it when it runs. Makes a sweet sound with simultaneous firing. You're gonna love it!

what ya got for a bar?

what ya got for a bar?

Howdy Ric,
Mostly Tequila and Crown Royal. OH! for the ST!!!! Sorry I'm a little slow the closer we get to Christmas. I measured the cut at 26" on this one. It had 9/16 pitch on it but it doesn't grab the sprocket just right. What chain is on your saw?
Come see me, we'll work on that "bar" together!

my PT has 5/8 on it. My ST 51 has a 3/4 sprocket.

see how I marked the guide washer to double check the pitch.

I have lots of good used 5/8 and also some new stuff left if you need it.

Thanks Ric,
I've got a ways to go yet on that ST, including figuring out this pitch issue. But Rome wasn't built in a day; I'll get to it.
Can't help but notice the vast distance in your new avatar between the hood ornament and the windshield. Truckers understand the need for long hoods. 600+ no doubt! Wish we could get some Petes. Stuck with set-back Freightshakers for the last 6 years.
If it turns out to be 5/8, I will take you up on your kind offer. Some of the used would likely suffice. I'll let you know and many thanks as well as Merry Christmas to you and yours!
