yes , they thought it was a kb merc. but when i saw this saw i almost s#%t my pants.. I need parts, rewind,right side cover and one of those clam shell mufflers lots of luck. the motor has good comp. and spark it popped a little today with gas down the carb.. david


Very nice Dave, I know collectors who would give their right manhood part to have that oiler handle. :D
 
I looked at a Mall 7H I think it is today. Guy wanted $125 for it. He said the motor was free and when I got there the chain scratcher was rusted to the bar and stiff as all can be. The recoil would pull out but it was not engaging so I took the recoil off and the motor was locked up tight:angry:

It was otherwise is good shape and the thumb throttle was broken all I saw.

To big of a risk since the motor was locked up tight it was more than I wanted to get into. I was really hoping the motor was free. Oh well.

Guy said it had a 48" on it but it looked more like 36" to me. The amount of time it would take to get that chain working again was enough to give me nightmares.

VERY nice work. Were those pistons knurled from the factory, or did you do/have that done to rehab worn originals? I've seen it done with hard to find old pistons before.[/QUO Hello no that's the way they wear . I have seen many IEL Pistons this way not sure if it factory or not but I dought it

This pic was sent to me from Brian, a member here.
He said it was hanging inside a Lamb chainsaw dealer for years.
Its now in a Museum in New York.
