372xp cutting results

ok ive got the QUEEN broken in now and here is what i think I LOVE THIS SAW smooth, gobs of power and that husky muffler makes that beeeerrrrrrr sound its nothing like the stihl sound they sound more quiet and remind me of a stock snowmobile i put her in some 40 inch tamarack [ironwood] and burried the bar didn't phase it at all the saw does all the work instead of me working the saw to death it pulls a 20 inch bar like nothing is there i wish it was lighter but im getting out of shape and its good for me i am looking at another small saw to back it up but now i have my doubts its very hard to put the QUEEN down ive been reading about port timing muffler modding and since im a machinist i have a plan for an offset flywheel key that will advance the timing about 5 degrees but that will come later

Well, i read the 372 vs 440 vs 460 vs 7900 treads here for years, before setteling for the 372xpg - no new reports can change that........

- and now, I am off to the bed, 03:20am here, and work tomorrow.........

I've still got that 372 sitting down there in the spare room where I keep my saws...It just sits there,it's almost kind of imposing sitting there beside all those 440's.....It just sits there...no gas in it...Mocking me....One fella wanted to buy it...nope....My dad needed a bigger saw than what he has to cut some railroad timbers once,and I almost lent him the bastard...But I couldn't do that to him,I let him use my old 046....It makes ugly faces at me,and every now and then it laughs at me....so I'll let it sit there in the dungeon til' it rots

There is some static between us.I may break down and try my luck with it again someday....Or I may keep it until the 372 is extinct....Then post pics of it and see how many people I can make drool

Well now Timber you could always send it to me up here in Virginia and let me take my 046 and give it a good spanking and send it back to you. I'm sure it will behave itself and treat ya right after that, whatcha say, I can tame that saw for ya,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

I think the saw has it in for you as well. That saw seems to need a attitude adjustment of the most extreme proportions. Send me that huzzy, I'll take her behind the barn for ya. When you get it back she'll hump your leg, trust me,LOL

...and remove the high filter/filter cover - it just adds weight for no real purpose......

Nope...Like I said,I think I'm gonna keep it until 372's become extinct......If I sold it,I would have to get about thirty grand for it...That would cover what the damages were to the house it hit plus my medical bills when I was cut...It took a chip out of my shin bone...That was no doubt the worse pain I had ever been through in my life.

Wow that ole saw has been a devil to ya Timber. I have heard others talk about a saw bite in the shin and man just the thought of that HURTS, yikesssssss.
