Good Deal, Did you get to keep the wood ?
I need to start getting some of that green you be getting there Tom for felling trees. I dropped and blocked a 22" elm for a guy at work for fun. But I told him if it caught the house on the way down that he did the felling for insurance purposes. Surprised my homeowner self and the dang tree fell right where I wanted it.
Now i got a guy with a couple pines beside a pool wanting took down and a saw waiting to be serviced in the shed. Guess I better start getting gas money someday eh, instead of beer.
suda baker or something like that.
LOL... 45 minutes you should have used BAD BOB or cousin JIM... Ya'll could of trimmed quite a few minutes off hahhaahaa

Happy customer..
Tom, My friend (homeowner only heats with wood) does his back cuts the same as yours in the pic of the tree you just dropped. When i ask him about it, he stated he woke up on the ground with his saw still running from a normal back cut one day when a sudden wind caught a tree right before dropping it. So now he does them the same way and hasnt had a kick back since. Remember we are just homeowner diy types and really dont know the ins and outs of the tree dropping trade wrong or right long as it falls and not on something. Here is a pic of a pine he dropped last year for my axe targets. I leveled it off to show last year.

Tom, that guy looks familiar. That's not the fellow that donated my red Dolmar, is it?
