Everything's painted. The painted parts have been setting in the sun all day for the initial drying. Then I put them in the oven at 170F for a couple hours.
Brad. That piece that you are talking about for the handle grip, is Plastic. I bought this assembly of of e Bay a while back, and it came without that piece. Now that I have an IPL, thanks Calvin, I can tell you what other parts I need.
- 61635A - Recoil Bushing
- 63985 - Dust Shield
- 67205 - Shield Retainer
- 63986 - Thrust Washer
- 64872 - Handle Grip
That last part appears to be a rubber insert that goes up in the bottom of the handle. I don't have one and I think Bruce said to keep mine, indicating his handle won't be coming with one either.
No bar plates on mine either. I'll need those as well. The PN is 64325.

If I remember right, some of the older 10-10 bars were unpainted polished steel with a sloping black tip. Most had the Mac emblem with 10-10 painted in black in the center. I can dig through the bone yard tomorrow and tell you for sure.I still need a bar for this saw. I'm looking for a 16" sprocket nose. I don't know what was original on these, but black and yellow would look best. With the paint job I've put on it, it deserves a nice clean bar. I missed a good deal on eBay last week for only $10. Snooze, you loose. Acres says I need one with a 8mm slot. Let me know what you've got.
I blacked out all the logos. Looks like it's time to get a new marker. I got a few stray marks on the front cover. I use one of those large permanent markers with a flat tip. It works very well.
