Yes, Chris is right. It must be a very small underpowered saw or he wouldn't be offering it up to an arborist where maybe a tank of fuel per week might be consumed.

RAHTREELIMBS - Doing some testing between Jan and April and I think i can get to Pittsburgh for some saw testing. I am trying to get as much done as possible but I have to be with the saw for all test - saw is so hot we have to keep an armed guard around when in the possesion of someone not with the company. I will stay in touch and let you know my schedule.
True the saw is not a 7900 this website alone tells that saw does not need be tested. OK everyone lean back away from your keyboard (to keep the drool out) this is a 50cc with a catalytic convertor muffler saw we want to test.
We have been told by the factory that it has to be tested in the US first to see if Canada can handle it.
I knew if I posted here to do some testing I would quickly get some takers and I was not disappointed.
Just think of it.. they would get it back Ask How did someone fit a 166 jug under the cover and why is the bottom tubbed out?? But Sir it will out cut any 50cc or matter of fact any 6 cu. and under saw! The only thing we have a problem is that we keep filling the tank ever 8 minutes or soo.
Hey Techie< Can you tell me if : A. there is a sticking Dolmar dealership in the eastern half of Colorado? B. a source for parts that I can pass to a local small engine mechanic?
Sthilman036 - we would also have to say oh yea mr EPA we just are not totally sure of the emissons output but think of this way the saw doesnt have to run as long to get the tree down so arent we all better off!
Stumper - we are working hard and heavy on Dolmar USA distribution issues. At this time we do not have a wholesaler that is covering CO but one is coming. In the meantime the parent company of Dolmar - Makita has authorized service centers in CO that can sell parts for Dolmar problems. The part numbers for Makita are the as for Dolmar except for Orange and Blue parts. Also Makita has a factory service center in Denver. Call 1-800 4MAKITA and take the newest service center option to go the service center in Denver. They stock parts and can get needed parts.
We definetly want to get feedback from all conditions and it is my plan to make it all around. Was going to start here where I live and then move up to the northeast. The NE is our largest market for mid range saws and we will not leave it out when it comes to testing.
Snow that is the white cold substance I hear about right. Lived in Houston for 7 years and never saw any and they got 2-3 inches on Christmas day. Moved to Atlanta area 2 years ago and have seen something that looked like snow but it was gone before i could get dressed.
If you happened to make it here to Central NY, it may also be a good opportunity for a Dolmar/CCD open house, eh? It would be a very good way to get the Dolmar name known locally.
