I don't need a 462, got a 365XT. Plus it's too heavy for what I'm doing.Get the 462 - its better saw by far
We'll see.Get the 400. Never ran a 362 that was worth a ****.
If your dead set on a 362. Turn around and walk over to the husqy Isle and get a 562xp. It's cheaper and faster. The 362 is a turd of a saw. Only reason stihl keeps producing it is to justify the extra money for the 400.We'll see.

What are the prices of the two saws?Got some snow pushing in as I type this. If I get done plowing early enough tomorrow, my son and I are going to get a new MS362C/MS400C. Still not sure which one we're gonna get. If we go with the MS400C, hopefully we can get a 22" B&C. Guess we'll see.

Boy you is a trouble maker! What do you want to run against what for starters?i was cutn wood and a guy showed up with a 500i with a 25" bar
now i'm cutn with my muff mod 590-20" and timing my cuts(sight n sound)) then watching/timing the 500i
the hockey player in me said, "go over there and challenge this guy saw for saw"
i was about ready to do it but then the 'Good Angel' said: "now David, do not provoke your neighbor to wrath by displacing his $2,000 joy with a $400 echo......"
Wish I wasn't working overtime and weekends, I'd join in on the fun.Boy you is a trouble maker! What do you want to run against what for starters?
I know Its a pain I dont mind running 3 or 4 saws but swapping all the Bars and Chains is annoying just to shut someone up but if he keeps yapping !Wish I wasn't working overtime and weekends, I'd join in on the fun.
I prefer the MS362/MS400 over the 562XP. They feel better to me. And it's a pound heavier than the MS362 and it's definitely noticeable. I'm looking for something to go between my NE346XP and my 365XT.If your dead set on a 362. Turn around and walk over to the husqy Isle and get a 562xp. It's cheaper and faster. I would get the 400 if it was me . Nice Shepherd in your Avatar.362= $880, 400= $980.

I might get the 400. I'll have to handle both side by side. I know the 400 is only a half pound heavier than the 362. That likely doesn't to most. I had major back surgery that went sideways, ounces matter to me.I would get the 400 if it was me . Nice Shepherd in your Avatar.
