Occasionally you'll read a little canola oil kerfuffle or used motor oil shenanigans but for the most part no one cares about bar oil.

But 2 stroke oil... That's the Holy Crusades of anger and idiocy where people just come unglued and go at it.
My statement was my attempt at humor, poorly written lol. We just had what like 3 oil threads and one of them is about bar oil.

imho - the MOST important, lab proven, element of Bar Oil is the Color.......Yep the Color is the Key!!!

If your utilizing Ultra from the 4 mix technology days , its terrible within chainsaws at any mix ratio , even in higher compression ported saws . The newer Ultra HP I have heard mixed stories of its quality & performance within saws . It seems that 50:1 ratio is what most users find the most optimal within its use apparently . Personally I believe there are numerous other quality oils today that far exceed any Ultra product at any mix ratio at a better price point . This coming from a 2 stroke engine enthusiast that has never used manufacturers oils in his sleds , bikes or saws . The majority of manufacturer oils are just adequate at a premium price point , unfortunately some are less than adequate within ported saw applications !

I'VE always been Happy with Husqvarna and Echo oils. Never been happy with Stihl oils sold in the US. The Canadian Castrol produced Stihl oils are a different animal altogether.

Poulan Pro gotts dat new blackberry flavor
The latest Poulan Pro bar oil from Maynards looks like blackberry pancake syrup heaven. I believe @Squareground3691 sampled the residual in his oil tanks and may be able to confirm one way of the other.
Finger licking good 👍

Now i'm upset with you pro guys on here....!

You all said my 400c needed a new solenoid when, in fact, it was the wrong color Bar oil.
I haven’t read the whole thread, but failing solenoid symptoms that I’ve seen so far are: they won’t idle in the choke position, they spit and sputter and won’t clean up in the cut, or they’re constantly running lean and lope for awhile after a long cut and hunt for idle

I had one saw that would hardly run or not start at all and another saw would idle and rev no load but fail in the cut .
