Stihl dealer will hook it up to see what the computer is saying - no chargeSo now what?
how old is it?Dealer agreed with me that it sounds like coil - we find out tomorrow
8 monthshow old is it?
compression is fine = i did a check teh cylinder and piston from both sides = shiny cleanWell do a video real quick of it running poorly, hows the compression?
I wood think it should be no charge on an 8 month old saw. My dealer told me i could bring any of my M-tronic saws in just to see how many hours I had put on them. I hope they can find something with the scan.Stihl dealer will hook it up to see what the computer is saying - no charge
Thinking of something, there is emissions warranty, that most companies don't come right out and tell you about. Coils are usually covered, for longer then the std warranty.Years long past, Husky had lifetime warranty on their coils
i asked him about the warranty for the coil and he said it was not extendedThinking of something, there is emissions warranty, that most companies don't come right out and tell you about. Coils are usually covered, for longer then the std warranty.

Yeah, thats all epa mandated and as long as you have a decent dealer, didn't abuse the saw (any engine powered equipment) and the dealer doesn't try to pull any bs. You can cover most engine parts. We used to do it pretty often when dpf first came out on standby gen sets. Stupid things wouldn't get ran hard enough to make enough heat for a regen.... anyway. It's a good thing to know about, can save you some cash for an issue outside of the normal warranty period. That's another good thought. They can always try to weasel out of it with "abuse" and "lack of maintenance" and other escape clauses, but Stihl covers a *lot* of stuff under the emissions warranty for 2 years.
