Thank you for this and i will check.

i am going to pull the head when the culprit (my son) gets home

Gas was dumped before reset and other
SOLENOID
If you are going to run Mtronics you need to have several spare solenoids. My new 400C had the solenoid fail the second day.

patiently waiting to get this 400 up & running for the face-off with the 620p

when we tested the 400 against the muf-mod 590 it was in dry ash and the stihl just lacked the torque deep in the wood
BUT - the 400 was new - should that of mattered though with a 7cc advantage???

I though my 400 was a little doggy at first. Prolly 7-10 tanks till it woke up. I kept track of how many tanks till about 15. I know when I ran a ported 590 is was dang close to my 036.

i also ordered a Egan Straight Shot muffler cover for the 400c

therefore the 400c is without excuse should it fail to outpace the DIY muff-mod 620p

what holds back the 590 is the coil

620p has a higher rpm coil and supposedly a better carb

For every cc increase i want to see a second faster cut time

Is that too much to ask for?
lol
Yes lol... took somewhere around 8-10 tanks for my 400 to wake up. Bark box made a noticeable difference as well. Fricken thing it too loud though.

x`and an orange filter 0000 120 5104 is the right # for the solenoid the black one will give you problems down the road
i checked with the Stihl Dealer today and the number you gave matched the one on order - thanks

Might be too much to hope for.
Optimistic at best. Cc isn't the only thing that determines power. I have 32cc rc engines that make 3.5hp in stock trim on can exhaust. Mild port work and tuned pipe gets them over 5 hp, race port and pipe can get close to 7hp. Wish we had the designs where the epa doesn't get involved and pipes were not in the way. Could make some serious power.

I like to take a stiff cane to my "Won't Work" equipment. After 12 good whacks and after the screaming and crying stops, things noticeably improve.
made my day - ty

my day begins when a dose of laughter is injected into my brain whereby the mind awakens to realms previously unkown...........

some call it insanity
