I would get it even if it wasn't what I wanted. Use it to trade into what you really want
If trade some other stuff for one of it was interested.A die-hard Stihl fan would give up a lot for a NIB 044...
you guys set this all up to get me worked up right? the whole forum is in on the joke, right?
a NIB 044, if genuine, I would trade a NIB MS661 for it
Dave
And this is not a set up or a joke I kinda blew him off when he said 600 bucks for an 044 since its an older saw
Rockjock was pulling our leg. A NIB 044 is probably worth around $900-1000 on the street currently, with some Stihl collectors willing to pay far more than that. For $600- I would be pulling out my wallet without hesitation.
hope he didn't offer it to the "next" guy that came in after you left. That would suck.
I guarantee you that someone from this forum has already started calling around.Note: you have brought it to the attention of all of AS that there is a NIB 044 at a dealer for $600. There can't be that many Stihl Dealers in Maryland. I wouldnt sleep tonight if I had just divulged such.
And a new 661 is definitely a good trade i'll have to start a bid on this thing
