this is what i wear most of the time. chainsaw protection in the back of the left hand only though. Seem to hold up pretty well for my use. The other guy in the shop wears the insulated/padded mechanics gloves. not much protection in them though. I would think it would be hard to have the fibers in the fingers without making them stiff and uncomfortable.

Get chaps....money well spent to get them and wear them! cheap chaps are better than nothing.

Whats up Nate? I'm patiently waiting for my bar to come in so i can order it[emoji4]
im impatiently waiting on about a 4 different bars to come in. seems jsut when i think things are getting good i find a bunch of stuff on backorder that i need.

How is that total II bar holding up?

Laytonville chaps are super nice I think they make gloves too. I wear either the rig lizards which are great protection but lack a bit of dexterity. Uglys work well little to no protection but good dexterity. I also use the tilman leather drivers 1414L is the pn if I remember right.

i'm thinking fish cleaning saftey gloves to not gonna be real warm but can get super light weight liners to use , they are reasonable priced i use the husqvarna with the padded knuckles they seem like good gloves

Its holding up just fine. I would surely buy another one.

If you have your hands where they're supposed to be i don't see how you can get cut. Even when I'm pushing blocks down if my saws jump outta the cut its gonna cut my forearm, my left hand is above the kerf. If im using a rear handle blocking down i make snap cuts and put my saw down before pushing the block over. Top handle i cut and push at the same time when it gets close to going over.

That makes me think my finger ain't worth whining about! Yeah, I'll get some chaps too.
buy pants are more comfortable and flexibile, and about the same price . if you use the saw too much buy class 2 ( 24m/ second ) and if you want more protection buy shape 3 have protection all around the legs. But you know what you need better , i just give you some informations

I considered pants, but then you can't come out of them to cool off in the summer during breaks unless you're wearing something under them. I have the full wrap Labonville, but almost all of the injuries I've seen were top of the thigh and knee. I don't know if the back of the calf protection is really worth the added expense.

i like the full wrap for working in the woods but for everyday wear i would stick to standard chaps since they are easier to put on and that makes it more likely to wear them all the time.
