If we have a Super Splitter on end & one hydro on the long side with another Super Splitter that will work. (Most hydraulic splitters have the log lift on the right side & if placed on the left end of the splitting side, would have the out-feed table pointed away from the trailers.)

Just for lay out purposes mine is set up this way

Do you like the 2 stage wedge better than a straight one?

Have you compared the styles of horizontal wedges, straight across vs having the outer edges angled forward?

I really do like two stage, some times I wish there was more of a difference between each stage since the wedge is so long. I like the idea of the angled style just never tried it yet. The two stage is proven for me so it's hard to convert to trying something else.

Sam-tip, When I was talking about 2 stage, I was referring to where the lower portion of his wedge starts the split then the upper portion helps the split line run upwards. Is that how yours is? Or is it a single knife like edge that has a wider wedge further back to "pop" the round apart?

I guess if you really look at it mine might be considered a 3 stage since there's 3 steps to the wedge. But the 3rd isn't every aggressive

Hope it quits raining and dries up.

Tried this out last weekend for splitting bigger pieces. Works good without digging a hole in the ground. Smooth tracks.

Notice I still have one very large maple trunk in the background of picture if anyone wants to exercise a long bar.
