Anyone have any info on this 12” Dayton I know it was made by Poulan. It’s pre chain brake. I inherited it from my step-grandfather who took great care of it I broke the pull cord while trying to fire it. Plan to tear it down and get it running. Is this a run of the mill saw or anything special? Anything unique I should know about tearing into it?

I have one, picked up from a guy for $15 not running, oil is pouring out of the exhaust though when it's turned over, read on another thread that the duckbill valve is most likely gone to cause this. After an IPL if anyone has so I can at least try to order parts

Hello everyone - I just got one of these. Dayton 2Z760. Got the spark fixed and the saw cleaned up. It fires off when dribbling fuel into it - but it needs a carb kit. Also - the fuel line was ABSOLUTELY dust when I took it apart. I will likely use a newer stihl fuel filter and some new line but - I am guessing the only hole in the side near the fuel tank cap is where the line feeds through? So I need to figure that out and a kit. Carb says HU22A then a 9. Tillotson. Thanks!
