and the inside

this is what the a/f side looks like

the debris in the air hits the "baffle" and falls out of the air
then the clean air passes through the second set of holes

what do you think??

I can see Dozer Dan drilling these holes out
Grab the Makita (drill)

oh the heck with it

took out the stock filter and added a real filter...

all for now

try it you will like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Jeff Dolmar spent a lot of time and money developing the air box / filter you probably should of tried it first before installing the air filter from your compact diesel. my customers have not had a single complaint with the filter. over 2 years now. the nylon filter was recalled 2 years ago the media was too coarse let too much fine dust through. Makita should have removed it before shipping. Take the saw and run it for a couple of weeks before any major mods you will be suprised.

parts update

PS Jeff , the right side av mount on the handle has been upgraded to a stiffer and longer mount part # 038 114 151 you will also have to flip the clamp #038 310 060 over to accomadate the longer mount. the mount you have will allow the saw casing to knock the short circut off the switch.

Switch problem

I'm chomping at the bit to give it a try...
I have heard about the switch problem but didn't know what the cause was...
Good to know- I'll get those parts.

Just funning with the old Kubota tractor air filter, can't see the duct tape holding it on from the other side. Dirty looking thing...

Thanks
Jeff

I already tried opening up those holes in the air filter cover. It didn't work out very well.I saw now gains in power and I ended up with way to many chips in the carb box.
That saw really does look good in blue. Now if I could just get you to put a good Dolmar or Oregon bar on it.LOL
Your 365 was shipped and your PP346 will be done tomorrow.

You want to know how one runs? Do what the guys tell ya, BUY one and see for yourself. If it works, buy more to keep your first one company. A saw with friends is a happier saw. All my saws have friends in red, white, green, orange, yellow and more. My oarnge saws and yellow saws were out over the weekend cutting with my buddies green saws and gray saws. We cut some Ash, Maple, Elm, White Pine and Quaking Aspen and the saws were happy to be out there cutting with their friends. They can't wait till the Dolmar gets here to go after some White Oak and Black Cherry and Spruce. The pictures are worth 1,000 words but I want one in my hands to know for sure.

hate to ask again . but does the saw have h l adjustment. man we givin this saw more free adds than any i can remember. are these adds yes . anytime u here stihl ,husquevarna ,tide ,or whatever mentioned,,on public forum.. its advertisement. but i aint complaining.
thats how it oughta be.

Two air filters...used....to come with the DOLMAR Bubble Saws.
The flocked (installed) was for Spring-Summer-Fall usage.
The nylon screened was basically for Winter if needed.
Believe it or not, too many saws were being run with the Nylon filter all year round. Complaints began of dirty carbs, crankcases.
Nylon filter is no longer shipped with the saws. Winter option.
