Dolmar Distribution

That relationship was never intended to strengthen distribution or improve dealer coverage. It was only intended to advance product lines. We Dolmar USA never received any Solo manufacturered product for the USA. I believe that I heard from Dolmar Germany that the Dolmar-Solo product exchange would not go forward. I will find out about this and post for sure. The new Distribution (IDN) is what we are using to improve dealer coverage. In the latest edition of Power Equipment Trade on the inside cover is an add telling all about IDN and their members in the US and Canada. Also and news release is on the dolmarusa.com website.

in 50cc. I'm really intrested in a 5100 would like to know price and if you can
ship to Texas 77328 I'll be buying a new saw in 3 weeks and was looking
at Husky 350/353 prefer 353 but really like look of 5100 and things I've

Seems to me that Dolmar is so interested in its "new" distribution that they don't care about or want any dealers. I've been waiting months to hear from them, (yes, I did the web site survey thing a long time ago). Some of us worked years to build a name and reputation here for Dolmar, now I can only get the news on sites like this.
Ya, you guys can see that I'm p****d. I got stuck with a rack full of saws and no company contact, not a peep from Dolmar. I can't even submit a warrenty claim on a saw I sold. How does this look for future product support?
API doesn't even know who I am, despite doing 20k in B&S parts with them last year.
So much for my rant. Anyone want to buy a power equipment business? I think I want to retire and just run my sawmill!!

I don't buy new saws, but if I had the need or desire to do so, I would be very leary of purchasing a Dolmar. Not because they make bad saws (folks here & on FF like the Dolmar quality), but because it sounds like Dolmar distribution and support needs some serious restructuring. Of course I'm only going by what I'm reading here.

well I am to have a 5100 in my hands in 2 weeks , this is from our sales rep up here and wants me to go down and run 1 of them

The website for Dolmar has been changed and many new additions. www.dolmarusa.com shows the new model PS-460, 510 and 5100 S. These saws are due to arrive in our warehouse in two weeks. We are activity seeking the dealers that our past distribution were serving, but because the past distribution never supplied us with a dealer list the search is complicated as we only know a few of the dealers from warranty regsistration cards and warranty claim forms.
