I wonder how many guys here know who REALLY invented the automatic chain oiler!

They are located in Milwaukee I believe.

Harley make a saw...he he ha ha....For one it would scare the crap out of me that something sharp would fly off at any moment and for 2 i sometimes have to go pretty deep in the woods and i sure wouldnt want to have to call a fellow harley chainsaw owner to come in the woods with me to share parts :)...But thats just my opinion...Or better yet...How about the make an airplane...ummm nevermind...thats to scary

Easy there junior, I've riddena 40+ yo bored and stroked panhead Twice to sturgis S.D. All 2 day trips Except One straight through return trip little over a 1000 miles. Rode with new harleys and even a beamer. Kept up with them 70-85 mph ALL DAY LONG! No problems at all. Granted a lot of maintenance in the off season, but hey a modded 40 year old piece of equipment? Just like maintaining a saw. Oh and we all know what opinions are like!

If i had a choice between the 2 i would definetly pick the scooter...I get 100 mpg and i dont have to worry about working on it....Plus i can come home at 1 in the morning from work and i dont have to wake up everyone in the house...And with the scooter i dont have to get tatoo's :)

Harleys are called scooters, Loud pipes saves lives, Tats show commitment.

Stick with chainsaws, Robby.

Studies have shown that bikers with loud pipes are involved in more accidents. So, either the type of person who has loud pipes is more reckless, or loud pipes don't help "save lives."

I have seen a lot of deer around that could tell you Differently.
If you could talk to animals.

Did you know that bikers that don't wear helmets are involve in less accidents. Does that mean that helmets are unsafe ?

If you are goin to qoute me then why not qoute the entire thing...I said because parts would be flying off....I like Honda and they are building a jet now...I would not have to think a second about flying in it....I dont care how much you may be in love with harley's that if they built a plane you wouldnt fly in it...Its weird that a harley is a piece of metal and people make a lifestyle out of it....

The next time you see a loud bike traveling at highway speed, notice how close it is to you before you even hear it. The noise is simply obnoxious.

About helmets, no, that does not mean helmets are unsafe. It does, however, mean that helmets are not necessarily safe. That's a one way inferential correlation, not a two way. As I've said before, correlations prove nothing, but they can show us some things to look for.

Guys at work wear leather EVERYTHING to work and no helmet....Good thing the will have broken bones and no scratches and there head will be mush....I asked one of the guys why he doesnt wear one and he said they where gay and they can break your neck....Well i guess he knows...

The last time I was on a highway. two loud bikes were five feet in front of me, one beside me. and two five feet behind me, then two five feet behind them and so on. Oh and one under me. (Mine).
That Obnoxious noise is Music to my ears.
Do I wear a helmet ? Yes. It's the law.
